Nine days isn't enough. The students clearly violated the school's drug and alcohol policy, which normally carries a stiffer penalty. We need to send our kids a message that drinking is not OK.
It's just about the right penalty. They broke school rules, but they weren't on school grounds. We can give them a little leeway here.
It is way too harsh. They should not be punished at all. They were in a country that allows teens to drink. Come on ... kids will be kids.
